Nigg cranes, more details

The crane package has been sold to Nigg Plant Ltd, a special purpose vehicle company, set up at the end of June to buy and sell the cranes, which include Manitowoc 41 and 4600’s, American hoist, and a 1,000 ton Lampson Transilift.
Grove, Coles and PPM rough terrains are also included along with a good number of telehandlers.

David Symon told Vertikal.Net that He was acting as a consultant to Nigg Plant to dispose of the cranes. Roger Taylor is assisting him. Symon told us that neither he nor Roger Taylor had any ownership in or were directors of Nigg Plant.

A search at Companies house shows the directors as Henderson Boyd Jackson Ltd and HBJ Secretarial Ltd.

Symon, said that the cranes will all be sold, he expects the big crawlers to go fast, but recognises that the Lampson, might take some time to find the right buyer.

He also gave us an update at progress with Cox Hire centres, which has been broken up sold. The crane company has been retained and renamed as Duncan crane hire based in Gateshead.

We will include a more detailed update on Cox within the next week.
