EWPA Cross Hire Agreement

Australia’s Elevating Work Platform Association (EWPA) has published its Cross Hire Agreement

The much debated document attempts to cover the problems and risks of the Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) while re-renting equipment. The PPSA can result in the owner losing their equipment if the end user that has rented it goes into liquidation. The new document complements the association’s existing Master Agreement.

The CHA has been put together with the help of Bartier Perry, the associations key advisors on the PPSA. Coates Hire also played a major role in getting the document finalised.

The EWPA is recommending that all members refer to the information contained in the document when renting equipment to other members who then plan to rent it on to an end user.
