IPAF UK Banger Racing
IPAF held its first UK banger racing event yesterday at a track on the outskirts of Northampton, the event was well attended with a good number of cars from members such as IAPS, Nationwide Platforms, Skyjack, Lifterz, Niftylift, Facelift, Manitou, Versalift, Haulotte, IPAF and others.
The rules were hard to work out, and we are not sure if anyone really understood them, but Giles Councell of IPAF won the final and Time Versalift scored the most points over all the heats and won the overall team trophy by a decent margin.
Most importantly the event was very successful and followed a morning of rental focused sessions which attracted a strong turnout from member’s staff that rarely make it to some of the Federations other events.
Here are just a few glimpses from the day

Overall a great success which has to be repeated.

The rules were hard to work out and not sure anybody understood them?? So your saying nobody read a method statement?? And working at height in a moving vehicle surely you should need a harness?? Which would of been in a method statement if somebody had looked at it and understood it.

We're it not for the Internet I would not know about NiftyLift, might not own a NiftyLift TM40, would not know of Simon Mahrer at NiftyLift, would not know about IPAF and the list goes on! Congratulations Simon for the race win.
