JCB dealer opens largest depot
JCB’s Russian dealer Stroykomplekt (SKL) has opened the company’s largest dealer depot following a £6 million investment on a new facility designed to accelerate growth.
Based in Ekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Oblast, the 3,500 square metre facility has a showroom for up to 25 machines as well as a parts and service operation. The company covers an area of almost 2.7 million square miles and has reported a 10-fold increase in sales over the past seven years.
JCB chief executive Alan Blake, who officially inaugurated the new depot, said: “Almost one in four machines sold in Russia is made by JCB. This success could not have been achieved without excellent dealers, dealers with vision, dealers who are prepared to invest and dealers with ambition. And this is what we have with Stroykomplekt.”

“By investing £6 million in new premises Stroykomplekt has demonstrated not only a commitment to providing excellent service support but also great ambition to grow their business. The opening of this fantastic new building sets the standard for others to follow,” added Blake.
JCB sold its first machine in Russia - a backhoe loader - in 1979 as part of the build-up to the Moscow Olympics. Today the company sells a wide range of equipment across Russia and the CIS through its network of 70 depots.
