Loader crane overturn in Hamburg
A large loader crane overturned yesterday in Hamburg, Germany with the boom landing on an occupied home.
The incident occurred in Hamburg-Niendorf while a knuckle boom crane was attempting to lift a load from the back end of a building. The boom crashed through the roof of the house into a child’s bedroom. However the two occupants of the house - a father and daughter - were downstairs at the time.

Fortunately no one was injured in the incident, but an investigation has been launched to find the cause. While the photos are not very clear it does look as though stabiliser settings or ground conditions may have played a role.
