Genie upgrades GTH 5519
Genie has upgraded the GTH-5519 compact telehandler for the North and South American markets.
The new unit features a Deutz TD 2.9 Tier 4 final engine - with no need for a particulate filter and a new hydrostatic transmission. It is 127mm shorter, yet has a 51mm longer wheelbase, and a slightly tighter turning radius – it is 245kg heavier.
The most noticeable features include a completely upgraded cab interior, the main instrumentation cluster now includes an integrated display showing messages from the engine’s electronic control unit, while a more efficient air defroster and ventilation unit has been fitted.

The chassis includes an additional housing to allow access to the hydraulic connections and air bleeding valves. A redesign of the combined engine and hydraulic system radiator offers better cooling for the engine and the new transmission. Integrated to the radiator top block is the coolant expansion tank which now includes an electrical coolant low level sensor.
Chad Hislop, product manager, telehandlers said: “This newly updated telehandler is even simpler to use and service. It is still the same machine our customers love, but small upgrades have made a great product even better. It is easy to drive and offers industry-leading load capacity for its size. These upgrades help our rental customers bring the machine in from rent, do necessary maintenance and quickly get it back out to work.”
