SAS adds new director

UK access rental company Safe Access Solutions (SAS) has appointed Peter Whittall as a director, with responsibility for developing the growth of the business and capital expenditure.

Whittall was previously with Leach Lewis, Genie and Nationwide Platforms where he was managing director from 2006 until his departure at the end of 2007. He then joined Genie Europe as director of after sales services and then moving on to Leach Lewis Plant as managing director. He was heavily involved in an attempted Management Buy Out of the business which the existing owners eventually scuppered by putting the business into administration.

Speaking of his new role at the rapidly expanding SAS, Whittall said: “It is a pleasure to be joining such a customer focused, dynamic, professional and ambitious business like SAS. John Corrie, Tim Kendall and myself have all worked together previously, all have vast industry experience and together make a good team. I am relishing the prospect of helping take SAS to the next level.”

SAS sales director Tim Kendall added: “We are all excited that Peter has joined SAS, as the knowledge, expertise and industry experience he brings is invaluable. John Corrie and I have both worked with Peter before, and look forward to re-establishing the great partnership and teamwork that we are all used to.”
