More machines for AFI

UK rental company AFI has purchased 118 new aerial lifts, taking its fleet investment this year to around £7.5 million.

The latest investment comprises 90 Skyjack electric slab scissor lifts, 15 Genie boom lifts and 13 new truck mounted platforms which will be added to the Wilson Access fleet acquired earlier this year – see: AFI acquires Wilson Access.

The Skyjack scissor lift order includes 50 SJ3219s, 30 SJ4632s and 10 SJ3226s, while all 15 of the Genie models are Z45/25s. The 13 truck mounts include models from Multitel, CTE, GSR and Palfinger, with working heights ranging from 20 to 45 metres. The new machines will be distributed amongst AFI’s 19 depots in the UK.
