Dodgy mansion platform

Spotted last week in the Battersea area of London, in the UK a couple of men working at a height of around 12 metres or so.

They have a narrow scaffold tower erected on a balcony, which can be challenging enough given that stabilisers are not possible, so counterweight or wall ties are needed if its more than a single rise.

Around 12 metres up and no fall protection

However in this case this is not the main issue, this looks like a four metre tower with the platform placed on the top rung but one, the result of this is that the guardrail is at shin level – perfect for tripping the man on the platform causing a fall to the road below.

The incident occurred on the third floor of Park Mansions on the corner of Albert Bridge Road and Prince of Wales Drive. Thankfully the workmen got away with their dodgy access platform this time round. A definite one for our Death Wish series.
