Loxam buys Alpina

Loxam has purchased the aerial business of Alpina, the Rouen based access rental company that had a fleet of 120 large aerial lifts including a 42 metre Falck Schmidt crawler mounted work platform.

Owner Patrick Hivet sold Hivet, his crane business to Sarens, some two years ago and has operated Alpina with his daughter Caroline since then. Loxam has not issued a statement concerning the purchase, which according to Hivet occurred two weeks ago.

Caroline Hivet will join Loxam, while Patrick Hivet intends to offer consulting services to clients interested in the French crane and access markets.
