€4m order for Ruthmann

German truck mounted lift manufacturer Ruthmann has received an order worth more than €4 million from German access rental company Gerken – one of the largest single orders in the company’s history.

The order consists of a number of 22 metre TBR 220 and 27 metre TB 270 models mounted on 3.5 tonne chassis as well as several 33 metre T 330 models mounted on a 7.5 tonne chassis. The company has also ordered models from Ruthmann’s Height Performance range which are mounted on 18 tonne, 26 tonne and 33 tonne chassis.

Ruthmann sales director Uwe Strotmann said: "This is one of the largest single orders that we have ever recorded in our company's history. We are proud and very happy that our efforts in product innovation in all work platform segments have paid off so handsomely. When developing a new product, it is absolutely essential to focus on the needs of the customer at all times.”

Gerken is based in Düsseldorf with locations throughout Germany as well as having branches in the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain. The company currently has more than 4,200 machines in its rental fleet.
