Huisman installs 3,000m/t crane

Dutch based heavy lift and offshore specialist Huisman has successfully installed a 3,000 metre/tonne offshore mast crane on the Lewek Constellation vessel using its 2,400 metre/tonne quayside crane at its fabrication yard in Zhangzhou, Fujian.

It achieved the task in two lifts and within a three day period. The vessel is set to leave the Chinese fabrication yard in April and sail to Huisman’s Schiedam facility for the installation of an 800 metre/tonne multi-lay pipelay tower.
