Manitowoc Cranes restructures

Manitowoc Cranes has changed its organisational structure along Global lines, reporting into three senior executives, reporting to president Eric Etchart, each with a global responsibility for their part of the business.

Larry Weyers is now global executive vice president responsible for the company’s product lines including engineering, sales and marketing, and Crane Care.

Josef Matosevic is executive vice president of operations and procurement, with responsibility for all facilities and procurement activities.

Dean Nolden becomes executive vice president of finance and information systems, with responsibility for processes and efficiencies.

The most notable change in the structure is the move from regional to global product line management, which is intended to make the company more responsive to customers.

The product line teams will be supported by a new global sales and marketing organisation, which will continue to be structured regionally, but managed globally.

As part of the change a number of new appointments were announced.
Dave Hull to senior vice president global sales and marketing, responsible for sales and distribution channels, along with the Crane Care country organisations.

Ingo Schiller to senior vice president Rough Terrain, boom truck and industrial cranes, with responsibility for new product development, operational marketing, engineering and Crane Care contact centres for these product lines.

Jean-Noel Daguin to senior vice president of tower cranes with similar responsibilities to those of Schiller, but for tower cranes. In his new role he will relocate back to France from China where he was the company’s regional business and operations for tower cranes.

John Kennedy becomes senior vice president crawler cranes with similar responsibilities for crawlers.

Jens Ennen moves to senior vice president All Terrain and truck cranes. He is currently on an ex-pat assignment in the United States, where he has been running the global engineering team for the past two years. He will be relocating back to Wilhelmshaven, German in his new role.

Raman Joshi has been appointed vice president and general manager for Manitowoc Asia-Pacific. And will be tasked with providing leadership for the Asia-Pacific sales and operating activities, reporting to Dave Hull for all sales and marketing activities and Joe Matosevic for all operations activities.

“This new structure aligns the key resources and accountability closer to our customers to position the business for future growth, and streamline the speed at which we make decisions,” said Etchart.

As part of these changes Philippe Cohet, previously executive vice president of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa region, has left the company to pursue other opportunities after nine years with the company.
