Refurb for 19 year old Niftylift

UK based Prolift Access has completed the refurbishment of a 19 year old Niftylift HR12NBE self-propelled boom lift at its re-build centre in Wellington, Somerset.

After more than 100 hours working on the machines, engineers stripped the boom and replaced the wear pads, pins, bushes, slew bushes and bearing. The steering axle needed to be rebuilt and the braking system completely overhauled. The machine was also fitted with a new basket, hose kit, wiring harness, wheels and foam-filled tyres, and underwent numerous engine repairs and a service.

Prolift engineering manager Terry Cole said: “It was in a poor condition when it arrived, regularly breaking down which meant it was very unreliable for the customer’s business. Its cosmetic condition was also terrible, but now it’s like a new machine. A full refurbishment is very cost-effective compared to buying a second-hand machine that is four or five years old, and it far outweighs the cost of buying a new one.”

Just goes to show how resilient the Niftylift products are in this harsh working environment.

Looks like a new machine Terry! Be very interested to know what the cost of a high standard refurb like this would be?
