Liebherr pay dispute settled
The long-running pay dispute at the Liebherr container crane manufacturing plant in Killarney, Co Kerry, Ireland has been resolved.
The dispute, which has been running for more than four years, had threatened the whole future of the plant, which employees 670, even though it only involved 300 members of the SIPTU union.
The members have voted over the past few days to accept a settlement brokered by Kevin Foley, director of conciliation at the Labour Relations Commission.
