New furniture hoist company

Former ELP Skylift sales director Gary Brady has set up Furniture Hoists, a new sales and rental company in the UK.

The newly formed company has been appointed as UK sales distributor for Paus to provide the full range of Paus furniture hoists and elevators for rent, lease hire or sale. Brady has spent the last 15 years working for different divisions of Nationwide, and the past five years as sales director at EPL Skylift. Previous to this he was general manager of Nationwide Skylift and business sector manager for Nationwide Access.

Currently Furniture Hoists' largest unit can lift 400kg to a maximum height of 27 metres

Brady said: “As a 'veteran' of the powered access business, I, along with many others, have received increasing numbers of requests to use 'cherry pickers' to lift items as varied as kitchen worktops, baths, cookers and sundry furniture ties to height in apartment blocks. Apart from the fact that scissors, booms and vehicle mounted units are not classified for lifting loads, they are completely unsuitable for this work. I have therefore started my own business that addresses this issue and the increasing demand for a purpose designed solution.”
