Crawler takes out power lines
A lattice boom crawler crane being transported on a barge in Oldenburg, Germany has overturned after coming into contact with overhead power lines.
The crane was on a barge on the river Hunte and moving down river to work on a railway bridge over the river when its boom came into contact with the 110,000-volt overhead power lines. The boom severed four lines and caused damage to a further three, temporary cutting the power to 22,000 homes.

The crane looks as though it came to rest on its counterweight preventing it from fully overturning into the river. Fortunately no one was injured in the incident.
