Two new CAT telehandlers
Caterpillar has launched its new TH414C GC and TH417C GC telehandlers designed specifically for the rental market.
Based on JLG’s 3614RS and 4017RS telehandlers launched earlier this year (see:
New telehandlers from JLG) the 3.6 tonne/13.85 metre CAT TH414C and four tonne/17 metre TH417C GC telehandlers have been designed with simplified service and maintenance features such as external telescope cylinders, easily accessible maintenance points, drain ports and filters, and a maintenance-free diesel oxidation catalyst.
Powered by a compact 3.6 litre TCD 3.6 L4 engine the new GC models feature a 3F/3R power-shift transmission, dual-axle braking and the company’s Integrated tool carrier allowing for various attachments. They have also been fitted with a theft-deterrent system which requires operators to enter a code before the telehandler can be used.
