First SX-180 in Austria
Austrian crane and access rental company Felbermayr has taken delivery of the first Genie SX-180 boom lift in Austria.
The SX-180 will be provisionally stationed at Felbermayr’s branch in Linz with a second unit set for delivery at its facility in Vienna shortly. Its five section main boom plus 3.05 metre articulating jib provides a 54 metre working height, a 24.4 metre outreach and a 340kg platform capacity.
Wolfgang Schellerer, managing director of the Felbermayr transport and lifting technology, said: “I am delighted to have such a device in the fleet, and am convinced that this technological masterpiece will have a permanent place on the sites of Europe.”

Robert Bauer, head of aerial work platforms and forklifts at Felbermayr, added: “With a width of 2.50 metres, a height of 3.05 metres, a length of 12.98 metres and a total weight of 24,948kg, we can transport the SX-180 on a standard truck without special permission.
