UAE celebrates

The United Arab Emirates celebrated its 43rd anniversary today, with National Day, marking the ending of the British Protectorate Treaties on December 1, 1971 and the federal unification of the seven emirates combining to form the modern-day country, headed by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the federation's first president.

As part of the celebrations Abu Dhabi based Safelift painted some of its machines in the colours of the national flag.
