Director for Summit Platforms
Recently launched UK based rental company Summit Platforms, owned by Grant Woodward, the previous owner of The Platform Company, has appointed James Watson as director.
Watson was most recently responsible for sales of Lavendon’s Blue Sky attachments in North America, having joined the company with the acquisition of The Platform Company in 2008. Prior to that he spent over four years with The Platform Company having previously worked with the Meek group, where his access career began in 1999.

Summit Platforms is based in Oldbury, near Birmingham and was formally established last March and recently joined the Access Link. Woodward was one of the management buy-out team at Mitie Powered Access in February 2002, which was then rebranded as The Platform Company - see:
Mitie Management Buy-Out.
Six years later they sold the business to Lavendon, where it was merged with Nationwide Access to become Nationwide Platforms. Woodward left Lavendon around a year later and began looking to get back into the business a year or two ago - see:
Woodward leaves Lavendon.
We reported on the formation of Summit last year but so far have not discussed future plans with Woodward - see:
Access Entrant.
Summit runs a fleet of low-level and electric scissors, compact and mega deck diesel scissors, boom lifts from Niftylift, JLG and and Genie, including S65's and Z80/60's.
Now there is a shock! Not.
