New CEO for Hewden

UK rental company Hewden has appointed Adrian Murphy as its chief executive following the departure of Kevin Parkes – see: Hewden CEO resigns.

Based at the company’s head office in Manchester, Murphy joins the company from Speedy Hire, where he was appointed the UK chief operating officer last July – see: Speedy recruits senior managers. Prior to his move to Speedy, Murphy worked for United Technologies, most recently as the commercial director UK, Ireland and Benelux for the group’s Building Industrial Systems division. He was also managing director of Hilti UK and Ireland and Arcelor Construction.
