Socage opens in Brazil

Italian aerial lift manufacturer Socage has established a subsidiary – Socage Do Brasil – in São Paulo, Brazil.

Based in Indaiatuba, the new subsidiary will be headed by Marcelo Bracco, who has spent the last four years as general manager of Haulotte do Brasil. Prior to that he was also the general manger for Mercedes truck dealership Rodobens as well as director of sales for Nissan do Brasil and director of sales and business development for International Truck and Engine.

Socage said the main reasons behind opening the new subsidiary is to have a greater presence for local customers, as well as gaining a better understanding of the South American market. The company will provide the sales and after sales support for its truck, pick-up and van mounted platforms.

Socage has now ended its previous Brazilian venture with Indaiatuba based GS Industria e Comercio de Equipamentos Hidraulicos, which was formed in 2012 – see: Record year for Socage.
