JCB telehandlers for B&T

UK based construction equipment rental company B&T Plant Hire has taken delivery of more than 100 JCB telehandlers in an order worth £5 million.

Supplied through JCB’s dealer Greenshields JCB, the order comprises a number of models with lift heights ranging from seven to 17 metres. The company has also taken delivery of five 20 metre 540-200 units which the company has said are proving popular with customers working in the hotel construction sector.

B&T Plant Hire managing director Tom O’Brien, said: “We chose the JCB telehandler for several reasons. Residual value and reliability are obviously important factors but equally crucial is that our customers prefer JCB. The 540-200 is a good addition to our fleet, extending the maximum height capability we can offer and companies building hotels have already recognised its quality. The drivers are happy and we are too. The final benefit of JCB equipment is the LiveLink telematics system. It’s a very useful tool and we are excited about the benefits it can bring in terms of managing servicing and monitoring fuel consumption.”

Founded in 1995, Surrey based B&T Plant Hire provides construction equipment throughout the South East of the UK. This latest order takes the company’s fleet up to around 1,500 units, which operate from its depots in Morden and Kent.
