Jeffrey Michael Johnson 1965 -2015

Jeffrey Michael Johnson owner of All Access Equipment Rentals in San Diego has died in a tragic air accident.

Johnson, 50, was learning to fly and was having a lesson with instructor Robert Sarrisin, 59, on Thursday, when the single engine plane developed an engine problem and crashed, killing both occupants.

The instructor Sarassin had a good safety record and almost 40 years of experience, the two were carrying out basic flight training manoeuvres near the airfield when it went down.

Johnson leaves a wife and five children, between the ages of three and 15 years old, including two sets of twins. He was following a long time ambition to learn how to fly and had been taking flying lessons for a couple of months.

His family needed his concern and care more that the yearn to fly which ought to have been a low,priority until the children were raised and on their own. I feel sorry for his family and the Instructor's family. Perhaps I seem crass about the situation but I feel that family deserves first consideration above all else.
