Arcomet 50 years

Arcomet the Belgian based tower crane company, is 50 years old in 2006, that much has been known. It has now been firmly established though, that it was in fact on March 19th 1956 that Mr and Mrs Karel Theyskens officially opened for business.

The original company was involved in supply work around the coal mining industry, but moved into equipment manufacturing in 1963. Its first crane, a small self erecting tower crane, did not come until 1968.

1987 saw the first entry into the rental market, now its principle business by far, with worldwide operations and a fleet of well over 1,300 units, which is growing rapidly.
