Five PBs for Steiness

Danish rental company Steiness Liftcenter has taken delivery of a new 73ft megadeck scissor lift, the first of five new big scissor lifts from PB Liftechnik.

The 73ft platform height PB S240-24D 4x4 arrived at the Steiness Liftcenter location in Tåstrup, Denmark, following a 1,000 km road trip across Germany and southern Denmark.

The new machine is unloaded


The new machine offers a working height of 24 metres, Deutz power with four wheel drive and differential locking, and an extended platform that is almost eight metres long by 2.4 metres wide. Platform capacity is a full 1,000kg. The automatic levelling system allows the machine to set up quickly and efficiently on uneven ground.

The order also includes three narrow aisle - 1.22 metre wide -PB TOP 12 series scissor lifts, comprising two 50ft battery powered PB S171-12ES and one 67ft battery powered PB S225-12ES with working heights of 17.1 and 22.5 metres respectively.

Finally the fifth new machine is a 67ft Rough Terrain PB S225-24DS 4x4 which is due to arrive at the start of next year. This model boasts similar off slab performance to the PB S240-24D, but offers a 750kg unrestricted platform capacity on a 7.2 x 2.36 metre extended deck.

Steiness Liftcenter chief executive Poul Steiness said: “The PB S240-24D 4x4 is a true power-scissor, with a powerful Deutz diesel providing long working cycles an excellent rough terrain capability. The mega deck has the power and space that is ideal for large-scale facades, installation and assembly works. Enabling tradesmen to work as safety and efficiently as if they were on the ground, regardless of ground conditions below.”
