Ahern up 31 percent

Las Vegas based Ahern Rentals, the 13th largest rental company in the USA, has reported total revenues for 2005 of $203.8 million, a 31.3 percent increase o 2004.

Earnings Before Interest, Tax and Depreciation were $80.2 million, a 40 percent improvement on last year. The company attributes this to an average increase in financial utilisation, from 46 percent in 2004 to 51 percent in 2005.

This came from an 11 percent increase in rental rates, coupled with a one percent increase in physical utilisation to 73 percent.

The company also said that its average fleet size was up, thanks to its $128 million of capital expenditure on rental equipment in 2005.

Around 69 percent of Ahern’s revenues are derived from aerial lift rentals, 20 percent from general equipment rental and 11 percent from sales.
