New Böcker cranes for 2016
German lifting equipment manufacturer Böcker is adding three new aluminium boomed cranes to its product line for 2016.
New models include two truck mounted cranes - the AK37-4000 and the new flagship AK46-6000 - and a trailer crane, the AHK36-2400 which its claims will be the most powerful trailer crane on the market. The new models replace three cranes that will no longer be available - the AK32-1500 and the AK44-4000 and AHK34-1800 trailer crane.
The new truck mounted AK37-4000 has a maximum tip height of 37 metres with optional two metre boom extension and a maximum lifting capacity of 4,000kg. It is available on the 7.495 tonne MAN TGL 7.180 or Mercedes Benz Atego 816 chassis. The 7.49 tonne carrier is most popular for the domestic market in Germany as many cranes are rented directly by end users who can drive this on a C1 car licence. In other markets, including the UK this crane will be available on the larger 8.6 tonne and 8.8 tonne chassis from Mercedes Benz and M.A.N.

The other new truck mounted crane is the flagship AK46-6000 which is available on the two axle MAN TGM 18-290, or a three axle chassis such as the MAN TGM 26-290 and the Merceds Benz Antos 2530l.
The AK46-60000 has a maximum tip height of 46 metres with the optional two metre boom extension, with a six tonne maximum capacity at eight metres, and it can take 1,000kg to 26 metres and 250kg to 39 metres through 260 degrees. The crane is also available on a 26 tonne carrier.
Both cranes have a range of standard options to include automatic levelling, slew restriction, boom angle restriction, automatic boom retraction and a new HBC remote control unit with colour screen.
Both cranes have fuel efficient Euro 6 engines and offer low outrigger pressure and axle loadings. The first cranes have been sold in Belgium. All cranes can accept the optional 250kg capacity access platforms with power to platform via an independent power source.

The crane has as standard a swivelling tow bar, electrical emergency descent control, multiplex outriggers, access cage technology, Honda two cylinder petrol engine, HBC remote with colour display unit, spare battery and charger, fully hydraulic luffing jib and automatic levelling.
