Liebherr sells third LR13000
Liebherr has finally received an order for its third 3,000 tonne LR13000 crawler crane, the crane will ship to Mexico in the spring, where it will go to work in a petrochemical complex.
The LR 13000 is the largest conventional crawler crane in the world, the first unit began its testing programme in 2011, that unit was sold and shipped to Mammoet in 2012 and is currently working in Dubai, having worked in the USA, and Germany. The second was shipped to somewhere in Asia where it is still at work on the construction of a new power plant.
Details of the buyer for the third unit have not been disclosed yet, but Liebherr says that following this transaction it has started building a fourth unit, which will be ready to ship late next year. It has also declined to say if it already has a buyer lined up for this unit.
