Riwal nets €1.6 million
Dutch international rental company Riwal sold 169 aerial lifts for €1.6 million at its first Red Tag sale.
The first Riwal ‘Red Tag Sale’ held in Amsterdam in late November included almost 200 machines, most of which were sold, netting a grand total of €1.6 million for equipment that had an original equipment cost to the company of €5.2 million.
All machines - including scissor lifts, booms, truck mounted platforms and spider lifts - came to the location directly from the Dutch international rental company’s fleet. The event held, just 15 minutes from Schiphol airport attracted, dealers, other rental companies and end users from several countries.

Chief executive Norty Turner said: “Continuing to renew our rental fleet so that we can offer newer machines for our customers helps support our vision of delivering the best customer experience in the industry. We have a constant flow of well maintained, used access platforms for sale and were particularly pleased with the outcome of our first Red Tag Sale and will conduct future events in the future, to assist with our strategic fleet plan.”
