Straddling the ladder
Spotted in San Diego, California, a man quietly working on a window in the autumn sun, while straddling his step ladder.
The scene is quite pastoral and reminiscent of a painter in the south of France. He is of course at risk of the ladder tipping sideways and dumping him on his back and from a height of around two metres and his apparent weight he could well sustain a serious injury.

Comfortable but improper ladder use
However who has not done something like this? and he looks like he has a firm grip with his legs, as though he was straddling a horse. So one for our Death Wish series? No we don’t think so – yes it is an example of incorrect use of a step ladder, if this was an employee then his supervisor ought to stop him, but he looks like he is the home owner of an artisan and it’s probably his ladder and his building.
It is though a nice tranquil picture to end the week, Have a safe weekend and if you are using a step ladder don’t use it like this.

I'm so glad nobody was around to witness me on the ladder putting up Xmass lights at the weekend, as I was reaching right out to get the last light hooked on I thought to myself if I was on site doing this id be red carded and never to return again.

Well said, Leigh! I thought it was funny as I watched him step up the ladder and then survey how he was going to tackle the job. As he ascended they ladder I knew exactly what he was going to do and he did it!
