Crane collapse on Thai bridge
A tower crane lost its jib this morning on the site of a new bridge being built on the south side of Ayutthaya - north of Bangkok, Thailand. Initial Reports say that 13 construction workers were injured, while one was is missing.

The new 800 metre bridge across the Chao Phraya river will connect tambon Ko Rian and tambon Samphao Lom. The crane was lifting a concrete deck slab measuring around nine by three metres when the jib broke free from the crane.
The contractor on the project - which began in mid-2013 - is Prayoon Engineering.
