Tree trimmer rescued

A man trimming trees in Kingston, Ontario, Canada on Saturday had a lucky escape when a large branch crashed down onto him and the trailer lift he was working from.

The impact bent part of the machine’s structure preventing it from being lowered, so the fire department was called out to rescue the injured man, however it was immediately apparent that the platform was way too close to the overhead power lines so these had to be isolated before the rescue could take place.

The rescue finally goes ahead

The man was eventually transferred to a board before removal form the platform and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
