Self propelled crawler truck mount

The first Teupen Leo30T tracked access platform to arrive in the UK, has been delivered, complete with a Mercedes 7.5 tonne Vario truck, to Aspect Access of Harrogate.

Teupen’s UK distributor, Ranger Equipment, took the order and commissioned the machine. The truck configuration chosen by the customer will enable the platform to be used either as a truck or self-propelled track mounted unit for maximum versatility.

Teupen Leo30T-2 on Mercedes Vario truck


The Leo30T offers a working height of 30 metres with up to 15.7 metres of horizontal outreach. The unit features a straight telescopic boom, plus 180 degree articulating jib and 180 degree platform rotation.

The unit delivered offers both diesel and AC mains electric power for indoor or outdoor use, With a gross Vehicle weight of 4,200kg and long rubber tracks, it is gentle on internal floors. This unit includes 'fuzzy' logic controls with infinitely variable proportional drive, radio remote control and self-levelling stabilisers.

Andrew Cook of Aspect Access said: “This is the third Teupen we have purchased, we have already acquired a great deal of experience using tracked platforms within our tree surgery division and we now offer a specialist hire service concentrating on solving difficult access jobs throughout Yorkshire and Lancashire.”
