Skyjack to launch new booms and scissors
Skyjack will unveil three new products at the Rental show in February, and two of them at Bauma in April.
They will include the all new 40ft SJIII 4740 DC electric slab scissor lift, the SJ30 ARJE articulating boom with rotating jib and for North America another telehandler in its new TH rental series.
The SJIII 4740 is the highest narrow aisle electric scissor lift Skyjack has ever produced, with its 14 metre working height and the ultra-compact dimensions of the SJIII series, it offers a 350kg platform capacity and is just under 1.2 metres wide.

The company will also unveil a new boom lift, the 30ft SJ30 ARJE, which is expected to have a dual riser, two section telescopic boom and a rotating articulated jib. The new boom has been designed along exactly the same lines as its other boom lift models, with a focus on being simple to maintain, repair and operate.
More details on these new products next week, with a full evaluation in the next Cranes & Access magazine in February.
Vertikal Comment
We hope to have a few more details on these exciting new products next week, the SJ4740 joins a growing market for this type of lift, initiated by Iteco some years ago and taken mass market by Haulotte a few years later. Genie launched its product the GS4047 initially for the European market, but such was the interest the machine, it introduced an Ansi version last year.
It is a market that is growing in popularity and Skyjack ought to bring an extra dynamism to it taking the concept into an even wider range of rental companies.
