New chairman for FASET

UK based safety net association FASET (Fall Arrest Safety Equipment Training) has appointed Rob Harris as chairman, taking over from Paul Martin.

Managing director of Buckinghamshire-based training company, 3-Education, Harris is currently chairman of the association’s training committee, a role which he will retain in addition to his new appointment. His company regularly runs safety net courses and workshops for construction managers and safety professionals, and delivers training courses to various sectors of the Health and Safety Executive.

Harris said: “As one of the architects of the association, and someone who has been actively involved in its direction and growth, I am delighted to have the opportunity of working with members to further improve standards and best practice across the industry.”
“During my term of office I aim to ensure that FASET continues to play a leading role in developing national and international standards and guidance. I want to see us working more closely with other trade associations to develop common safety and performance goals, and to stress the benefits of using member companies.”
