Ahern Deutschland opens new HQ

Ahern Deutschland the Snorkel aerial lift and Xtreme telehandler distributor for Germany officially opened its new Headquarters on Friday.

Ahern Deutschland's new headquarters

The new 18,000 square metre facility is located in Weyerbusch in the Westerwald-Rhein/Sieg area between Cologne and Frankfurt. Acquired in May last year the facility has been modified to include a showroom, offices and training space, along with a fully-equipped workshop, a spare parts warehouse, and a yard for stock machines.

Bernhard Kahn

Speaking at the opening Bernhard Kahn – who heads up the German team – said: “My first job was to find a suitable base for our new venture, we have invested €1.1 million in this new facility. We want to demonstrate that Ahern intends to remain in this market for the long term."

Matthew Elvin

“ We will stock between 150 and 200 machines at this location and around 15,000 line items of spare parts, both OEM for other manufacturers. And the number of employees based here will be increased from the current 10 to 16 in order to properly cover both Germany and Austria peroperly and ensure a good contact with our customers” added Snorkel chief executive Mathew Elvin .

The launch event was attended by a wide range of people with festivities running into the evening.
