New multi-entry platforms from Genie

Genie is to offer its new dual entry 1.8 metre (6ft) and triple entry 2.4 metre (8ft) platforms on all of its boom lifts that take this size of basket. They can also be retrofitted to existing machines.

A single side mounted swing gate allows for walk-in access to the platform for when operators are wearing a tool belt, carrying a tool box or needing to load materials in the platform. Sliding mid-rails, engineered into the front and opposite side of the platform, offers alternative entry and exit points.

A Genie tripple entry platform

Genie has also equipped the new platforms with eight lanyard attachment points to give operators the freedom to work anywhere on the platform while keeping their lanyards short. The floors can also be unbolted and replaced should it be needed. All of the improvements have been made without adding weight to the machine or sacrificing platform capacity.

The new platforms are expected to be ready for shipment over the next three months
