Interlift expands to Hewden depots

Lifting gear and materials handling specialist, Interlift is adding six new locations to its UK network, as part of a plan to become a national player following the acquisition earlier this year by Hewden. See Hewden acquires Interlift
The new outlets will be located at existing Hewden depots in Grangemouth, Newcastle, Immingham, Leeds, Bedford and Wokingham adding to its existing branches in Middlesbrough, Hull and Glasgow.

Interlift provides a range of lifting gear and accessories including, hoists, lifting straps, shackles, beam and plate clamps, height safety and man riding equipment.

Interlift offers a range of lifting gear from shackles to spreader beams

Operations director Kevin Chalmers said: “In layman terms, Interlift’s business is really about what happens under the hook. It is no secret that Hewden has invested significantly on its cranes and lifting business this year. Our range of products support and compliment that investment perfectly. Since the acquisition, we have seen unprecedented interest in Interlift products. While in theory we could transport equipment anywhere, by expanding across the Hewden network we are in a much stronger position to quickly and effectively service our customers’ lifting requirements."

“As we expand into new areas, we need to invest in new products. Our aim, like with all Hewden assets, is to have the most comprehensive range of products available to the industry. We will be investing significantly over the next 12 months to make that happen”.
