Installing the Capitol Christmas tree
A JCB 507-42 telehandler and a 22 tonne P&H Century series Rough Terrain crane helped erect this year's Christmas tree on the lawn of Capitol Hill in Washington DC, USA.
The 24 metre high, 84 year old Engelmann spruce, was cut down in early November at Little Ski hill near McCall Idaho, in the Payette National Forest. It was supported during the cut and lowered and loaded onto a trailer by two truck mounted cranes belonging to Seid Crane of Kuna, Idaho. A large National Crane equipped with a work platform and a four axle Grove.
