£2 million contract for Konecranes

Konecranes UK of East Kilbride has won one of AMEC Construction’s largest special crane orders.

The company will supply eight cranes for the fabrication of the new Vosper Thornycroft facility in Portsmouth. Delivery of the £2 million order will commence in November.

The cranes range in size from the 200 tonne LV open winch with 52.5 metre span, of which there are two. The smallest are two 5 tonne CXTs, with 42 metre spans.
