Three CMC spiders for MBS

UK rental company MBS Access has taken delivery of three new CMC spider lifts from UK dealer Spiderlift.

The new units include two 15 metre S15s and one 25 metre S25. One of the S15s is diesel powered, while the other is lithium ion battery powered, which according to MBS is the first lithium powered CMC S15 in the UK. Maximum outreach on the S15 is seven metres, and maximum platform capacity 230kg. The S25 boasts a three section telescopic boom and articulated jib with an outreach of 14 metres.

Spiderlift managing director Steve Hadfield said: "Having supplied MBS with their first spider lift in 2006 and having watched and supported the company ever since, it is a proud moment for me to deliver these new CMCs to them this year, having witnessed 10 years of solid growth."

MBS Access director Ben Dobson added: "We are really pleased to add these machines to our fleet – we have run the CMC S15s for the last couple of years and have received great feedback from our customers, so it was only right that when the time came we ordered machines that our customers know and love. With CMC now offering lithium battery power, which is being asked for more and more by our customers we knew we had to get one. We feel that the spec of the CMC S15 is the benchmark for all other 15 metre lithium spiders to contend with."

"We have run with the CMC S25 on our hire fleet since seeing the machine at last year’s Vertikal Days. We arranged a demo with Steve who happily left the machine with us for two weeks whilst we tested it out on various customers and jobs, gathering all the feedback from both our customers and own operators. Once we had received that information it was clear that the machine was a good suit for our company and brought it straight away."
