Spanset opens new training centre
Spanset, the safety harness and equipment producer, unveiled its new UK training centre this week. The new purpose built facilities, located at the company’s Cheshire headquarters are also part of an expansion of the company’s long-established training division.

The new Spanset training unit
The investment of £150,000 includes state of the art outdoor structures designed to enable realistic training in height safety and rescue training techniques by Spanset’s experts.
The company claim that the new layout is one of the most extensive and versatile of its kind in the UK. It incorporates facilities for specialist training in load lifting and restraint, vehicle restraint and material handling training, together with lecture rooms and refreshment facilities.

The training unit in action
An open day to launch the facility, featured demonstrations of the various products in action and was attended by visitors from power generation, distribution, engineering and transportation sectors, as well the military and emergency services.
Spanset manufactures many of the products that were on display at the its Middlewich production centre which was established in 1991 and now employs 90.
Managing director Tony Eaden said: “This new development is the result of a massive growth in demand from customers for quality in safety equipment design and training. These new facilities enable us to offer a total solution for individuals in any environment and in every sector.”
