New York Crane drivers end strike

Construction work resumed this morning across New York city, including at the World Trade Center site, following a tentative deal between the operators union and the General Contractors Association.

The contractors and the operators union have apparently agreed on a new four-year pay deal, which must be approved by the union's rank-and-file. The operators are said to currently receive around $80 an hour
