Gary Wayne Spickler 1938 – 2017
We have just received the sad news that Gary Spickler a senior manager with Grove Manufacturing over many years passed away at the University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore last Tuesday, February 7th. He was 78.
Spickler spent 32 years with Grove a good part of the time as vice president of manufacturing and then senior vice president manufacturing operations, throughout the 1970s 1980s and into the 1990s, when Grove was at the height of its success. He had also been a sergeant in the U S Army Reserves.
He was an avid antique and harness bell collector, and in his retirement ran a business at the Antique Cross Roads in Hagerstown. He closely followed NASCAR and was formerly a SCCA race car owner and driver.

He is survived by his long time partner Barbara Resh, ex-wife Carol, son Michael Spickler and two grand children. The funeral is being held in Hagerstown today.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gary's name to Doey's House, c/o Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21742
