Major deal for Grove

Grove is to deliver nineteen all terrain cranes to Saudi-Aramco.

The £6.5 million deal, completed by Kanoo, the Saudi Grove distributor, is for fifteen 50 tonne GMK3050s, two 100 tonne GMK5100s and two 200 tonne GMK5200s. These will be delivered to the roads and heavy equipment division of the Saudi oil company.

Many of the new cranes will replace truck cranes and some rough terrain cranes in the Saudi Aramco fleet. All of them feature an on-board data logging system, developed especially for the company by Grove to assist in its fleet management.

Another important part of the deal is a substantial product support and training programme which, with the involvement of both Grove and Kanoo personnel in the Kingdom and at Grove's Wilhelmshaven production facility in northern Germany, includes up to 48 weeks of thorough operator and technical training.
