Five Snorkels for HVS

German rental company HVS Hubarbeitsbühnen has taken delivery of five Snorkel scissor lifts.

The order includes two bi-energy scissor lifts, a 27ft S2770BE and a 33ft S3370BE, a 10ft S3010E mini scissor, and two 12ft TM12 mast lifts. The work platforms were delivered by the German and Austrian distributor Ahern Deutschland.

HVS owner Friedel Sturhahn said: “We have worked with Roman Heindl for many years, and are very impressed with the level of customer and technical service that we are receiving from Ahern Deutschland. Indeed, having access to ‘ready to rent’ stock machines in Germany is a great benefit. On this particular order, we received a rental order for three low level machines on the same day that we were collecting the bi-energy scissor lifts. They were already in stock at the facility, so we were able to add them to the order and take them with us on the same day. This is a major bonus for rental companies in the region.”

“We are keen to invest in our fleet for the future, and were very interested when we saw the Snorkel electric/diesel bi-energy scissor lifts with four wheel drive and oscillating axle. This brings flexibility to our fleet, and to our customers when on the jobsite – we are excited to have these models available.”

Ahern Deutschland general manager Bernhard Kahn added: “The Snorkel bi-energy scissor lifts offer an particularly attractive solution to rental companies as a single unit can be rented to customers requiring either electric or diesel power. They are also likely to be rented longer term, as a customer can use them on the rough terrain at the start of the project and then indoors as the building progresses.”

Founded in 1996 and based near Munster in north west Germany, HVS Hubarbeitsbühnen employs 20 and operates a rental fleet of over 400 units.
