First Snorkels for Bolivia

Bolivian food producer Avícola Sofia has taken delivery of the first four Snorkel electric scissor lifts in Bolivia, two 19ft S3219Es and two 32ft S4732Es.

The 812mm wide S3219E offers a platform capacity of 250kg, whilst the 1.2 metre wide S4732E has a capacity of 320kg. The four lifts were delivered by Ahern Chile, the distributor for Snorkel lifts in Central America.

The S3219E scissors will be used within the company's plant in La Paz, western Bolivia for installation projects and facilities maintenance, and the S4732Es will be working inside the refrigerated storage unit.

Avícola Sofia chief project manager Walter Melgares said: “We selected the Snorkel scissor lifts based on their robust build quality and simplicity of operation and maintenance.
