New compact Manitou RT forklift

Manitou has launched the new MC18 Rough Terrain fork truck at Agritechna in Hannover, Germany.

The MC18 offers a maximum capacity of 1,800kg and a maximum lift height of 5.5 metres. The unit has an overall length of 2.95 metres, an overall width of 1.45 metres, and an overall height of just under two metres.

Manitou MC18

The MC18 has a ground clearance of 300mm and can switch from two to four wheel drive, whether the machine is in operation or not. In two wheel drive, the operator can reach a speed of 15 miles an hour.

Lift truck marketing and product development manager Patrick Laridan said: “We have designed an ultra compact forklift that is perfectly suited to market gardeners and nursery people working on sometimes difficult terrain. With a total cost of ownership among the lowest on the market, we can say that with the MC18 we have reinvented the Rough Terrain forklift.”
